Hero Electric is in market since long time, even before the event were too much popular. Hero has some electric models like Optima,Photon etc. We will talk about the hero Optima HX single battery version. Optima HX again consists of well battery version also on the difference is the range of the scooter and everything else is similar. Talking about the range of optima HX single battery version company claims it to be near about 70 to 75 km per charge. Over all the range is satisfying for the customer using it strictly for city use or if you you want more range you can go with the dual battery version which gives you 120 km plus range in a single charge. And it cost to 50000 to 60000 rs more than single battery version.

This was all about the range talking about the ride quality and the acceleration breaking and overall performance of the scooter, first starting with the acceleration it is quite linear and smooth though sometime it may feel little jerky while braking and accelerating at the same time. Top speed of the single battery version was 52 km and while testing this scooter with two people it it was able to hit speed of 47 km. It was quite impressive.the major problem which I felt it was regarding the breaking of the scooter, the breaking on the scooter would have been better as it does not break it efficiently as if you would want your regular petrol scooter break. While breaking initially it feels the breaks are quite good but but at the end it took too much time if you want to break the scooter you definitely have to think earlier emergency braking off the scooter will not help you. Overall the ride was stiff acceleration and pickup was sufficient and sometimes on the elevated road it quite feels a very little laggy.

Now talking about the overall scooter it is a quite good scooter if you want to use it for your daily commute which is around 50 km or below you can prefer this one , but the quality of the plastic did not feel up market, it feels too cheap plastic is used on this scooter, Hero Electric see at this specific things for attracting more and more customers.

But now should you really buy this scooter or wait for the ola electric scooter aur do simple one's electric scooter. Both these companies are launching their scooters with great features and great range and with faster charging option but the price of the scooter will be placed between 1 to 1.3 lacs. So so after subsidy also so it would get discount of 20000 to 30000 rs depending upon the states subsidy rule. In this case hero Electric will have upper age as it comes with a price tag of of somewhere around 54000 to 58000 rupees. So sure if you want to spend little money on electric scooter you should go with hero Optima HX or if you are willing to spend more then you should probably wait for the new launches which are going to happen on 15th August.

Last I will talk about the battery and charging speed of the hero Optima HX, it would take somewhere around 5 to 6 hour to charge it fully and the batteries are capable so you can take the battery is at home and charge it inside your home also. Hero Optima HX single battery version gets good amount of boot space in comparison to the dual battery version As dual battery version occupies the boot space.
